This project aims to improve the forest coverage rate, protect the local ecological environment, and reduce carbon emissions and carbon sequestration through enhanced forest management. This will result in significant carbon sequestration and the improved sustainable development of the ecological system.
The project is active in Lianhe Township and Zhuanlong Town, covering 6,879.2 ha of commercial forest (1,425.1 ha and 5,454.1 ha respectively), ranging from sapling to middle-aged and mature. Prior to the project's implementation, the forest within the project area was designed and planted as commercial forest. The project is expected to generate emission reductions of 821,001 tCO2e within the 20-year crediting period, which began in April 2011 and which has averaged annual emission reductions of 41,050 t CO2e with buffer deduction. 
Since 2011, the project has cancelled the annual commercial timber harvest and only allowed tending and managing. In order to control the annual forest timber volume and achieve reliable and verified carbon sequestration, a forest protection plan will be issued by the local government, and executed to strict guidelines by the project owner. The forest growth amount and the second forest class investigation will be periodically monitored by the local forestry authority.
