The FFCEL Wind Power project is located in Jhimpir, District Thatta, Sindh. The total installed capacity of the project is 49.5 MW consisting of 33 Nordex S77 1.5 MW wind turbines. It is Pakistan’s first grid-connected wind power project to achieve commercial operations. This historic milestone was achieved on May 16, 2013. The project activity is expected to generate 143.6 GWh each year from wind energy. It is the country’s signature project and a major step forward towards energy self-sufficiency in Pakistan.
